National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR)

Based in Katowice is the National Polish Radio Orchestra (NOSPR). On 1 October 2014 the NOSPR inaugurated its new artistic season in a new location, on the site of an old coal mine near Spodek.

The building was designed by Konior Studio from Katowice and the concert hall acoustics have been designed by Nagata Acoustics of Japan. More details.

The Eagles' Nests Trail

This walking trail with a length of 163.9 km, extending from Krakow to Czestochowa owes its name to ruins and castles located along the route, mostly on hilltops, surrounded by inaccessible limestone rocks, hence their name Eagles' Nests.
